About.

MEESVISSER was established by Uda Visser and Marijn Mees in 2015. Fusing their international experience in designing and building ambitious architectural projects, the office was founded on the premise that good architecture improves the quality of life.
more about our ambitions >
Uda was born and educated in Germany after which she moved to Amsterdam to do a post graduate study at the Berlage Institute. Her career started at Mecanoo and she later joined SeARCH as architect, eventually being appointed director in 2006. Her experience ranges from small scale residential projects to big international mixed-use projects and covers the whole scope from inception to on-site coordination, combined with running an internationally operating office. Uda has a quick mind, a keen eye for detail and a love for wood.
Marijn is an architect with extensive experience in ambitious and complex architectural projects in Europe, Asia and Middle East. After studying at the TUDelft he worked at SeARCH in Amsterdam. Interest in the developments in Asia led to a three year working period in Hong Kong where he worked on large scale projects in the region. Back in Amsterdam, as a project architect, he focussed on a wide variety of more intricately designed projects in NL and abroad. He combines architecture with rock climbing and playing jazz bass.
