New project: Coffeeshop de Pijp
We are currently working on a new interior for a coffeeshop in the Daniel Stalpertstraat in Amsterdam. This will be the next design in the range of high-end shops we started designing in 2018.

Publication: Detail Magazine
Detail magazine included our project Kea Boumanstraat in the recently published book about urban architecture and living environments in Amsterdam. The book kan be brought here.

Update: Koffiefabriek
The end of 2024 was marked with an important moment for the Koffiefabriek: after three years of designing and engineering this project finally broke ground on-site. Currently the foundation is being made, quickly followed by the timber construction elements. We’re looking forward to share the progress.

Update: Strandeiland
The preliminary design of our winning proposal for a sustainable, bio-based new neighbourhood on Strandeiland in Amsterdam has been completed. Our part of the design consists of 33 single family houses and 34 apartments around two collective gardens with a beach-like feel.

Completed: Ooievaarsweg
The renovation of the apartment on the Ooievaarsweg has been completed. The living spaces are organised around a three dimensional core that vertically connects the three levels. This piece of intricately designed furniture contains facility areas and a light well that brings in daylight deep into the apartment.

Update: Pijnacker
Block four in Pijnacker has topped out. Within this block we designed 48 apartments for social housing corporation De Goede Woning. The other half of the block is designed by Studio Komma. WijCK is a new car-free neighbourhood next to subway station Pijnacker Zuid. For more see woneninwijck.nl

TU Delft: teaching ON4
The students of Studio Hout presented their final designs today. It’s inspiring and encouraging to see an upcoming generation of architects explore the possibilities of building with timber and being dedicated to a sustainable future.

Win: tender Strandeiland
With the design “Mix, Max, Match (M3)” we won the recent tender for Strandeiland. Together with the client AM and architects LEVS, Beta and DELVA we designed a sustainable neighbourhood with 344 housing units, community hub, commercial spaces and health center.

Office: excursion
We recently did an office excursion to Antwerp. A day biking through town, visiting inspiring historic and contemporary architecture, some very good food and good fun.

Update: Leeuwesteyn
In Leeuwesteyn construction is progressing rapidly. The contours of some of the wood-clad houses and the intricate brick patterned facades become visible from behind the scaffolding.
