Update: Fluor/Elements
After three years of preparation finally the construction work for our housing project in Haarlem Schalkwijk has started. In collaboration with Dura Vermeer, Koschuch Architects, Elephant and ZUS the southern end of Schalkwijk will be transformed into a car free ‘city between the trees’. More information here.

Update: Wisselspoor
Slowly the houses in Utrecht Wisselspoor become visible after removing the scaffolding. These first four, clad in fiber cement panels, will be followed by a series of brick and wooden houses and an apartment block. Together a pallet of materials that fit in with the industrial character of the new neighbourhood. More information here.

New project: CLT house Reeuwijk
For a beautiful site on an island in Reeuwijk we will be designing a freestanding, zero-energy, bio-based single family house constructed in cross laminated timber (CLT). We are exited to further explore the potential of building bio-based, circular and with high standards in energy efficiency.

Finalist: kavel 1 IJburg
In collaboration with GG real Estate and Studioninedots we were selected as finalist for the IJburg kavel 1 tender in Amsterdam. Our design ‘Nest’ proposes an integrated nature-inclusive living-landscape based on a rotated grid that creates an iconic building profile. With gardens and trees at different levels throughout the building, nature is always at arm’s reach. Visit project page here.

New project: micro housing Enka
We have been commissioned to design ten small housing units and a bar in a former first-aid building of the Enka factory in Ede. Building on our previous designs for comfortable small-scale living, we wil focus on designing ten functional boxes that define the spaces. These prefabricated wooden boxes allow to be placed in the listed monumental building without affecting the monumental elements.

New project: Ooievaarsweg
We have been commissioned to renovate end extend a coffeeshop and the apartments above in a 1917 house in Amsterdam Noord. With this project we expand our efforts to transform the typical dark Amsterdam coffee shops into light and friendly specialty stores.

Update: WFC sketch design
We submitted the sketch design for the four wooden office buildings in Ede. Three of the four buildings are directly informed by the shape and rhythm of the wings of the former military building, reflecting it in the opposite facades. The design has been positively reviewed by the Quality Team and we will move into the next phase soon.
